Zur letzten Saison kehrte der 127-fache Nationalspieler nach langjährigen Engagements­ in Italien und Griechenland zu ALBA zurück, dem Club, bei dem er von 1998 bis 2002 unter Trainer Emir Mutapcic seine Grundausbildung erhielt. 2002 hatte der mit einem guten Distanzwurf gesegnete Power Forward ALBA in Richtung Leverkusen verlassen. Als die Rheinländer 2005 die Bundesliga-Playoffs verpassten, wechselte der gebürtige Bamberger kurzentschlossen für einige italienische Playoff-Spiele nach Mai­land, wo er mit seiner gradlinigen und mannschaftsdienlichen Spiel­weise sofort überzeugte und zu einem der begehrtesten deutschen Spieler im europäischen Ausland wurde. Jetzt startet er in seine sechste Saison bei ALBA.

After years of playing in Italy and Greece, the 127-time National Team member returned last year to the club in which he learned the basics of his game from the 1998 to 2002 seasons under coach Emir Mutapcic. The strong-shooting power forward left Berlin to go to Lever­kusen in 2002, and then made a quick switch to the Italian club Armani Mailand for the playoffs in 2005, after his Leverkusen team missed making the post season here in Germany. The Bamberg native was quickly able to convince the other European­ leagues of his worth with his straight-up ­and team oriented style of play, becoming one of the most sought after German players. He now begins his sixth season with ALBA.
