Marcus wechselte 2019 zu ALBA und bestätigte auf Anhieb, dass er Dreipunktewürfe nahezu im Schlaf verwandeln kann. 124 Dreier traf der Schwede letzte Saison in der Bundesliga und EuroLeague. Als 17-Jähriger wechselte Marcus aus Uppsala nach Spanien, wo er nach dem Erstliga-Debüt für Manresa vom FC Barcelona zur Saison 2014/15 in die erste Mannschaft befördert wurde. Marcus erlitt jedoch gleich im Auftaktspiel einen Kreuzbandriss und verpasste die gesamte Saison. Trotzdem wurde er im Sommer 2015 von den Atlanta Hawks gedraftet und spielte in den folgenden zwei Jahren für den FC Barcelona. Vor seinem Wechsel nach Berlin lief der Flügelspieler zwei Jahre in Spanien sowie im EuroCup bzw. in der EuroLeague für Gran Canaria auf.

Marcus joined ALBA in 2019 and immediately set out to prove that he is able to score three-pointers almost blindfolded, ending up with 124 successful long-distance shots in the last BBL and EuroLeague season. At the age of 17, he left the Swedish club Uppsala for Spain where he debuted in Liga ACB for Manresa and then joined FC Barcelonas first team for the 2014/15 season. Despite sustaining a ligament rupture during the opening game and missing out on the whole season, Marcus got drafted by the Atlanta Hawks in 2015. He then played for FC Barcelona for another two years. Before signing on with ALBA, he spent two years with Gran Canaria, playing in the EuroCup and EuroLeague.
