Die Albatrosse haben am Dienstagabend ein spannendes Spiel eins im EuroCup-Viertelfinale gegen Unicaja Malaga denkbar knapp mit 90:91 verloren. Nachdem die Mannschaft von Coach Aito ihre Gäste in Halbzeit eins regelrecht dominiert hat, kamen die Spanier in der zweiten Hälfte schnell zurück, sodass die Partie erst in der Schlussphase entschieden wurde. Nachdem Malagas Mathias Lessort gut zwei Sekunden vor dem Ende zum 91:90 getroffen hatte, ging unser letzter Wurf durch Rokas Giedraitis nicht in den Korb. In der „best-of-three“-Serie – zwei Siege werden zum Weiterkommen ins Halbfinale gebraucht – führt Unicaja nun mit 1:0.
Jetzt muss unser Team die Serie am Freitag in Malaga ausgleichen, um ein entscheidendes drittes Spiel um den Einzug ins Halbfinale zu erzwingen. Das würde am Mittwoch, dem 13. März um 19 Uhr in der Berliner Mercedes-Benz Arena stattfinden.
