Aber nach ihrem sensationellen Erfolg im Hinspiel verloren die Albatrosse ein sehr spannendes, intensives Rückspiel gegen ZSKA Moskau am Mittwochabend in der Mercedes-Benz Arena mit 68:71.
Am Freitag geht es in der zweiten Partie dieses EuroLeague-Doppelspieltag gleich gegen das nächste Topteam weiter: Um 20 Uhr treffen die Albatrosse auf Real Madrid.

They are showing competitive, attractive, high-pace basketball and it’s never easy to play against them. It was a tough game, but my team kept believing despite the circumstances and all the ups and downs. We had too many turnovers, which cost us a lot, but this was the case on both sides. We played with great energy tonight in a tight game, that could also have gone the other way. Our defense and the fact that we stood together as a team was our identity tonight."
Aito Garcia Reneses (Cheftrainer ALBA): "The game tonight did not go well for us because the rhythm of the game was very slow. The clock was stopped a lot and we were not able to run as we like to. It is more difficult for us if the game is stopped often and so in this situation we were not able to shot a good percentage."
Luke Sikma (Power Forward ALBA): "Es war ein Spiel, das sehr von der Defense geprägt war. Die Moskauer haben uns in der ersten Halbzeit vor allem mit zu vielen offensiven Rebounds wehgetan, das haben wir in der zweiten Halbzeit deutlich besser gemacht. Ich bin sehr stolz auf die Art und Weise wie wir gespielt und gekämpft haben. Leider haben wir gegen Ende des Spiels ein paar Fehler zu viel gemacht. Das werden wir analysieren und daran arbeiten, bevor am Freitag das nächste schwere Spiel gegen Real Madrid ansteht."
